Audiologist

Audiologists are doctoral-level healthcare providers who provide patient-centered care in the prevention, identification, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment of hearing, balance, and other auditory disorders for people of all ages.

Those certified to work in clinical situations with patients, will have a title of “Certified Clinical Competence Audiologist (CCCA) after their names. An audiologist is licensed by the state.

Two types of professionals are authorized to measure hearing loss and fit and dispense hearing aids in the United States: audiologists and Hearing Instrument Specialists
